Health Hazards
Yes, these cell towers are life-threatening. Research shows a clear possibility that they cause any number of life-threatening conditions, the least of which is a lowering of our immune systems, spanning a lifetime. Recent epidemiological studies have suggested that a link may exist between exposure to power frequency electric and magnetic fields (EMFs) and certain types of cancer, primarily leukemia and brain cancer. Laboratory researchers are studying how such an association is biologically possible. A documentary film entitled Public Exposure offers credible data from cell tower company Research & Development engineers on the potential health hazards posed by cell phone towers. A recent precedent set in Illinois recently states that legally, there is no statute of limitations on suing a cell tower company, a town or a government entity for illness resulting in EMF emissions from cell phone towers. Who will be able, or willing, to compensate us for any health problems that a cell phone tower could cause? The Town of Easton? The State of Connecticut? Sprint? The health of our children, our community, and our environment is not for sale. |
